Volunteer
From Our Charter:
We will develop an open source curriculum focused on science, the natural world, space, and space exploration. This curriculum, and programs designed so that every member of our communities can contribute, will be available to any teacher in the world to download, free of charge.
We will not place teachers or address students directly, because teachers must come from the communities in which they teach and be accredited by those communities.
Q: How can I volunteer?
A: Get in touch using our contact form and introduce yourself.
We’re looking for:
1) Teachers or Teacher’s Aids with experience writing and creating detailed Teacher Guides (overviews that will become lesson plans which are differentiated according to grade level), Lesson Plans, and Projection Aids.
2) Volunteers to edit donated educational materials, and to format those materials into Teachers Guides, Lesson Plans and Classroom Aids using templates we will provide.
Q: What will you provide?
A: We’ll provide templates and free online instructions.
Q: What will I need in addition to the skills listed above??
A: You will need a modern computer or laptop to do the work, and a reasonably fast internet connection to upload your work for review before use.
Thank you for your interest in The Academy!
